When I was in, you could receive the bib on for accumulated time from short deployments, with a day in the first and last month covering the full month, e.g. depending upon the start day 60 days could equal 3 months Response by MAJ Alvin B. made Mar 1 at 2018 11:17 AM 2018-03-01T11:17:18-05:00 2018-03-01T11:17:18-05:00 MAJ Alvin B. 3404360 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Ribbon Response by MAJ Alvin B. made Mar 1 at 2018 11:17 AM 2018-03-01T11:17:35-05:00 2018-03-01T11:17:35-05:00 MAJ Alvin B. 3404370 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a target="_blank" href="https://www.hrc.army.mil/content/Overseas%20Service%20Ribbon%20OSR">https://www.hrc.army.mil/content/Overseas%20Service%20Ribbon%20OSR</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.hrc.army.mil/content/Overseas%20Service%20Ribbon%20OSR">HRC Homepage</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"> Toll-Free: 1-888-ARMY-HRC (1-888-276-9472) DSN: 983-9500 AskHRC</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by MAJ Alvin B. made Mar 1 at 2018 11:20 AM 2018-03-01T11:20:39-05:00 2018-03-01T11:20:39-05:00 MAJ Alvin B. 3404371 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a target="_blank" href="https://www.hrc.army.mil/content/Overseas%20Service%20Ribbon%20OSR">https://www.hrc.army.mil/content/Overseas%20Service%20Ribbon%20OSR</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.hrc.army.mil/content/Overseas%20Service%20Ribbon%20OSR">HRC Homepage</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"> Toll-Free: 1-888-ARMY-HRC (1-888-276-9472) DSN: 983-9500 AskHRC</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by MAJ Alvin B. made Mar 1 at 2018 11:20 AM 2018-03-01T11:20:46-05:00 2018-03-01T11:20:46-05:00 SGM Bill Dillon 3404751 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yep!! Only the personalist can check the records to see if you qualified. At one time I had 3 OSR last week it dropped to 1 when I had to validate my ORB. I has 3 for the last 12 years. It’s all a mystery. The problem is this - the OSR, per the reg, is awarded for completing a normal overseas tour. So, what&#39;s a normal overseas tour? Well, the reg doesn&#39;t tell you so you have to dig into the ALARCAT messages for awards on the MILPER website. There you find one which says a &quot;normal overseas tour&quot; is at least 9 months long. If you still have a guilty conscience your can ask your battalion admin guru (you know, the E7 or E8 who knows all the answers) and see what they say.
