It's all fiction until they request the tapes from the shows......he won't be so smug then. Ol Gloria is on him too with her RICO avoiding behind. In Bills case, no one pressed charges. Sure they came back later on and said this or that, but no charges, so it's implied he did this. He wasn't impeached for having cigars in the wrong place, he was impeached for lying and trying to cover it up. Where is Linda Tripp again? Trump bought this on himself. Lets be honest. Had he not came out swinging looking for home runs by disrespecting everyone and everything, he'd be crushing Clinton. He'd have the party backing him voluntarily, not forceably. I honestly don't care anymore, it's comedy to me at Trumps expense.

The goal is being achieved. MSM wants Hillary and is proving how powerful they are for all to see. And almost nothing on the revelations of all the Assange and State Department Emails which show all the collusion between the press and the Democrats. The transformation is not yet complete. An act reportedly happening over thirty years ago on a plane and nothing until now smells like a plant. Bill Cosby is a happy camper today.

I learned during my first deployment that anything put out by the media was a lie, i have no trust or respect for them at all. but to answer your question, I do not want to care what they say, but i find my self reading it anyway. They are not going to change my vote, i guess i just want entertainment.

It depends what you mean by the media. Different media sources seem to have different biases. But in general most seem to be down on Trump. To be fair he brings a lot of that on himself. Looking at places like Politifact gives you some indication on why they may spend more time going after his statements.

As far as who acted on it, we have stories that they both did and claims from each that they didn't. In my mind the difference is one is running for president and the other isn't.

The actions of the media is the most troubling thing in this entire election and that is surprising because of how disgusting this entire election cycle has been?

The latest batch of 'allegations'made me more disgusted with the bias and corruption of the media than it did with Donald Trump. Like so many things about the media lies, the whole thing did not add up, and the more one looks at the details the more apparent their lies are?

I no longer trust the media, and there is a reason they are protected in the Bill of Rights...they have surrendered their souls...but of course since I mentioned souls I will be labeled a bigot, or a rash of other names.

I wrote this a number of years ago but feel it is relevant again. Apologies for the length. All Media is Bias at this point.

Prologue: Edward R Murrow began his CBS career in 1935 working in the radio medium through out world war two. He saw the transition to television and being a forward thinker had this to say on the matter. “I am seized with an abiding fear regarding what these two instruments are doing to our society, our culture and our heritage. “And “this nation is now in competition with malignant forces of evil who are using every instrument at their command to empty the minds of their subjects and fill those minds with slogans, determination and faith in the future. If we go on as we are, we are protecting the mind of the American public from any real contact with the menacing world that squeezes in upon us.” See Mr. Murrow understood that the world had a dark side and only by shinning the light upon it can you vanquish that evil. Mr. Murrow was there when they discovered holocaust camp at Buchenwald Germany he saw what pure evil looked like and brought the realization home to the masses. When it was requested that he apologize for his report having at the time described the exhausted physical state of the concentration camp prisoners who had survived, mentioned “rows of bodies stacked up like cordwood,”” He had this to say on the subject “I pray you to believe what I have said about Buchenwald. I have reported what I saw and heard, but only part of it. For most of it I have no words.... If I’ve offended you by this rather mild account of Buchenwald, I’m not in the least sorry.” He did not care that the FACTS offended for they were truth he felt that he had a responsibility to speak the truth even when it offended. I can go on and talk about his fight with Sen. McCarthy but as the movie Good Night and Good Luck fairly documents it I will take a pass. I will add one more excerpt from Mr. Murrow’s speech before I begin my commentary of our current media “I have reason to know, as do many of you, that when the evidence on a controversial subject is fairly and calmly presented, the public recognizes it for what it is—an effort to illuminate rather than to agitate.” Mr. Murrow viewed America with considerable more respect that the current media outlets. He felt that society on a whole could handle the truth with out devolving into anarchy.

I will take a lead from Mr. Murrow and assume that you my audiences are willing to hear truth and fact with open mind’s and can handle it with out devolving in to a mob run upon there baser instincts, So let us begin.

How many Media scandals have we seen in the last 20 years? Ok scratch that

Let’s just go with the last 10 years for manageability. I will clarify media Scandal as a point when the media was caught LYING to the public. Whether it be a blatant lie a refusal to report all of the facts, adding a twist to the facts editing tape or photos doctoring reports or using witness’s with no credibility or who were not even involved with the original story. This should also included the “Expert Commentator” or the “Monday Morning Couch Quarterbacks” but the last two are just worthless publicity hounds using someone else misfortune to promote there own careers, so we will not cover them this time. Again I’m probably going to be harping on the Democrats more than anyone else but most of the media is currently run by them short of FOX. I will be hitting FOX at one point though.

DAN RATHER: In 2004 Dan Rather aired a story that was critical of George W Bush and his National Guard Record. He attempted to discredit Mr. Bush The key evidence he used in writing this story was hearsay from opponents of Bush and Documents offered up from the personal papers of Lt Col Jerry B Killian. After the story “broke” the Documents 6 of them in question were reviewed and it was later discovered that the type that was used on them was not a typeface that was available in 1973. In short in less someone time warped a modern typewriter back to the 70 this didn’t happen. Adding insult to injury “Bush’s that is” it was reported that the originals were burned after being faxed to Dan Rather. So there can never be ANY original evidence to test and confirm or refute. Dan Rather did not fact check his story but on top of that he still to this day justifies that report. “On the plus side he did lose his job.” Keep in mind this is the same Dan Rather that refused to do a story on the missing Intern of a Sitting Democrat senator. Who made the comment “they got the Buckwheat’s” when it came to light he was forced into covering it. For those of the modern era Buckwheat was a black kid on the little rascals who was scared of everything. In the 50 and 60 it was a derogatory term. “in plain English it was racist”

Our next contender if you please. In very recent news we have had the Travyon / Zimmerman “incident” for lack of a better word. I make no assertions about anyone’s innocence or guilt. I was not there I only have what has been reported. Then again I also have the ability to RESEARCH and to lead a life of not jumping to guilt or innocent good guy bad guy or villain and the victim. The media all decided the moment they heard a black kid was shot in a gated community this would be the best time to fan the flames of hate and start the race war….. oh to much ok lets back up. The very first reports from the Liberal left were “White man Shoots Black Teen in Gated community” In reality it turned out that Mr. Zimmerman was a Hispanic male. Yes he is half white and half Hispanic for the record, but this is a twist of the facts. See if Mr. Zimmerman had been running for public office they would have shouted he is Hispanic had he been the victim in a crime by a white person they would have shouted he was Hispanic and it was a hate crime. But since it was a black kid they screamed he was WHITE and that it was cold blooded murder. All of this before the police had even started there paper work. Then there was the FACT the media and Travyon family were only showing pictures of him when he was 12 years old not as the 17 year old athlete that he was. The media painted him as a sweet and innocent boy failing to mention that 2 weeks prior he had bragged about beating a bus driver and a week early he had been suspended from school for drug paraphernalia possession. In the latest twist we now have witness but the media has been selective in what they report. I will quote and make counterpoint.

Witness comment #1: "Let her know what's happening, been involved in a shooting and will be held for questioning," the witness told the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. "He was more like, talking like he was having a hard time, looked like he just got his butt whipped ... not like he was in shock, not like, 'I can't believe I just shot someone,' but like, 'Just tell my wife I just shot someone,' like it was nothing."

Shock for the record manifest in different ways for different people, at the time I would put forth the thought that he was running on auto pilot his emotions had shut down being unable to handle the trauma he just inflicted. He knows what needed to be done and did not shy from it. Sure he may have seemed calm and in control but at that point in time he probably had a body full of adrenalin and the shakes and realization of the full situation would come later. He also just had his butt whipped and had been in a fight for his life from what he has said.

Witness comment # 2: A woman identified as witness 5 walked out of her home after hearing the altercation to find Zimmerman standing over Martin's body. She said she asked him what was going on and he curtly said just, "Call the police."

So you expect him to be courteous and answer all of your questions after the fact? Where was she when he was getting beat? Where was her concern when some one was screaming for help? If he was ducking or hiding from anything why did he tell her to call the police?

Witness comment # 3: "I do honestly feel that he intended for this kid to die," witness 5 told investigators. "If you're in self defense, shoot him in the leg. He's a 17-year-old, scrawny little kid. You get into a physical fight with him. ... I think the kid was running for help."

All of these statements by this person are “I THINK” statements they are not factual or even useful in a court of law. This person did not actually SEE what happened only the after math of it. As for their comment shoot the kid in the leg well that’s kind of asinine you can’t shoot someone in the leg if there sitting on your chest beating your face.

Witness comment # 4: A man identified only as witness 6 told investigators that he heard a commotion coming from the walk behind his residence. “He witnessed a black male wearing a dark-colored "hoodie" on top of a white or Hispanic male who was yelling for help.”

Police said the witness elaborated by saying “the black man was mounted on Zimmerman and throwing punches "MMA" style, meaning mixed martial arts style. The witness stated that “the man on the ground yelled out for help.”

Witness 6 said “he was going to call for police when he heard the "pop" of Zimmerman's gun”.

"When I looked down, I saw the person that was on top was laying in my grass in a sprawled position," witness said. "Saw another guy with his hands in the air, saying, 'The gun's on the ground, I shot this guy in self-defense.'"

Multiple witnesses and injuries sustained corroborate Zimmerman's account that he was involved in a serious altercation with Travyon, Including the latest report that Travyon’s knuckles were bruised and had broken skin to Mr. Zimmerman’s cut back of the head broken nose and black eye. The Media jumped to the conclusion from day one that this was a race crime a hate crime. They did not have all the facts, even now we do not have all the facts. I will say had Mr. Zimmerman just stayed his ass in his car the kid might be alive today. He pushed a confrontation got his ass beat and felt he was about to die so used deadly force. Had Travyon not been sitting on top of Mr. Zimmerman beating the snot out of him he would not have gotten shot. I assign no guilt I make no charge I only offer you the facts of the case.

The media outlets want you to pick their side. They want a “Story” and that’s the point I’m making they no longer report news now they report “Stories” The facts are only used when they can make the “Stories” interesting the rest of the time they are twisted or ignored. Sensationalism in the headline that is where their money is, it’s in the news Media’s interest to stir up the population keep them tuned in and charge bank for the commercials between sound bytes. Facts can be boring they are dry they do not sell there is no passion no hero no villain victim with in a fact. In the case above I refuse to buy any of the media’s BS, I personally see 2 people that both made some very bad choices ending in one of them dead. If stupidity was a crime they are both guilty beyond that I am not in the jury so I will not judge Mr. Zimmerman.

I now move on to Fox News I’m not bias I hate the twisting of any fact by any media outlet. So last year Fox and Friends was doing an interview with Hank Williams Jr. The point of the interview was that he had put together a new box set of his father’s music and was doing the media rounds talking about it. During the interview some political questions came up and questions about his personal views. He made a comment about his dislike for Obama and he felt that John Boehner was working for the democrats and not the Republicans. Here is part of the transcript from the interview.

GRETCHEN CARLSON: You mean when John Boehner played golf with President Obama?

HANK WILLIAMS: Oh, yeah! Yeah. And Biden and Kasich, yeah. Uh-huh.

GRETCHEN CARLSON: What did you not like about it? It seems to be a really pivotal moment for you.

HANK WILLIAMS: Come on. Come on. It would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu, OK?

For those that didn’t know Mr. Netanyahu is the current Prime Minister of Israel. So what Hank Williams Jr was saying by using an analogy was “the Top Republican and the Top Democrat playing golf would be like the guy that hated Jews the most playing golf with the guy who loves them the most” It was an analogy using a possible alternate reality parallel thinking. He did not call Mr. Obama Hitler He did not call Mr. Boehner Hitler in fact he didn’t call ANYONE ANY Names. This didn’t stop Fox and friends or the Liberal media from blasting him. It did not stop them from making accusations and getting the NFL to cancel his contract. They cost him his job because he had an opinion and had the audacity to explain it in simple terms. Not only that by canceling his contract think about all the people that had jobs supporting Mr. Hank Williams Jr every week he played at a Game. They just lost there jobs too. The liberals got what they wanted they dragged a conservative and famous persons name through the mud and the conservative media got what they wanted a 5 minute story and a twist to look like they won’t stand for any disparaging comments about Mr. Obama. In the end they sold some commercial time made a bunch of money on a hot button topic where there really was no issue.

When will the media be held accountable? In the Jena 6 or the Duke Lacrosse team accusations the media took a hard racist slant. In both cases it was unfounded and simply a way for the news stations to get ratings. In the Jena 6 the simple facts are some idiot kids hung a noose from a tree at school as a way to haze their rodeo team. (their words not mine) Being Young and dumb by products of our education system and the schools population being 90% white they were not aware of the connotation of a noose in a tree to a black man. A Few weeks later a white kid who had nothing to do with the earlier incident was sitting under the same tree. 6 Black kids ranging in ages of 14 to 18 beat him till he was hospitalized. When asked they said it was because he was White. That IS racist. Where the racism ends is when the 6 black kids were jailed for aggravated assault. One of them had a long rap sheet already. All were charged initially with attempted murder as they had beaten the white kid till he was unconscious. All of them plead out to lesser charges of Assault and battery. The media how ever made a huge deal about how unfairly they were being treated. They made them out to be martyrs and the oppressed. Giving air time to Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, The reality is they were thugs with records. The media skipped this point and the liberals just screamed louder when they didn’t like the truth.

In the Duke case several members from the lacrosse team were accused of raping a black striper. The media jumped on the fact she was black and they were well off if not rich and white. The local district attorney made public statements about the guilt of the team members. In the end it came out she had tried to shake them down for money and when that didn’t work made up the whole story. It was later discovered she had a history of this and the DA was informed but decided to go ahead with the case. He was disbarred but that doesn’t change the fact that he put these young men through hell. In the case of the accuser she is now sitting in jail for murder of her live in boyfriend. The media never apologized for there lies or there poor reporting in ether one of these case’s. When the facts were finally presented when the truth came out the media just switched to a new hot topic and ignored the truth of the matter.

The last section I hold for a story of my own. This actually happened to me so understand where my hate for the media and the “story” comes from.

I graduated from High school and had been taking college courses in Mass media. Specifically with the intent to work in news, not as a reporter but as a camera man and an edit bay master. My first job was in a little nothing TV station in Northern Idaho. We had a news department that consisted of a 35 year old “News Director” a self appointed title and a 16 year old part time intern from the local high school. I was the resident Camera man / Edit bay master / Tape Liberian / Master Control Operator and Chief engineers assistant. Ya I had a lot of hats. So one day the intern and I were sent out on a news story the story was to cover the annual Gay Rights conference. Now to give you some history on this the year before the local KKK and Arian nation pin heads had shown up and chased them out of town. The local police being well… lazy donut eating fat ass's didn’t do anything to stop this. So the year I was sent out to cover there convention they decided to hold it in the middle of nowhere. Let’s put it this way the directions were drive on the interstate for 45 min then drive on the old road for 30 min then drive on the dirt road for 20 min then turn down the old dirt road for 10 min. This was before Cell phones just for the record. So we show up and I break out the camera equipment and we do some interviews then some candid shots we are just wrapping up and a bunch of pick up trucks pull up and out of the trucks a bunch of skin heads climb out of. I tell the 16 year old get in the dam car we are out of here. She tells me we should record what is about to happen. Being smart I tell her there is no way in hell I’m turning the camera back on and staying around. One of me 15 to 20 of them and I’d have the only evidence. We got in the car and left. (The LGBT people were locking themselves in their cabins / buildings) When we got back to the station the “News Director” came running up to us in the parking lot asking “WHAT HAPPENED!!!” I look him dead in the eye and ask “Why do you think something happen” he gets this look like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar about to lie to you. That’s when it his me and I go off the bastard had CALLED them and told them where it was being held just to get a story. This ass put my life and the 16 year old girl’s life in jeopardy to CREATE a story. I get it if you’re in a war zone reporting but this would be like a fire man setting a fire just so he has something to put out. This worthless “Reporter” was creating news not reporting fact. I quit not long afterwards never working in media again.

Now days when I watch the news casts there all the same left or right. They start with a sensational headline / sound byte. They offer points of view and assumptions but little facts. There “Program format” is Violent stories first then scandals then gossip then a bit of touchy feely fluff. It’s always the same. They pick a Hero a Victim and a Villain they lay out there thoughts there one side point of view, but when you’re done watching you haven’t really learned anything and you haven’t heard any real facts or information. We are sheltered from Truth as a parent would shelter a child from harsh reality. But Parents all know there comes a point in time where the child must learn the world is not all nice. Truth is not what others tell you it is, it is FACTS?

Edward R Murrow knew that the great Evil of the world was not those that lie to us but us ourselves. When we blindly accept what the Media says as fact we give them reason to think us stupid. When they lie and push there agendas and we let it go then we deserve to be treated as children. When we allow them to hide behind the differential of a “News Program” and a “News Show”. When we allow our News to be Entertainment and not Informational we give them free reign to lie to us.

I am glad Edward R Murrow is not alive for he would weep at what our nation has devolved to. I do not have his knack for speech but I will say this If my words have offended I am not in the least sorry. I hope you will question me I hope you will open your eyes. I hope you will look and see for your self. I hope you will question everything you are told by the media. I have such high hopes for this once Great Nation. I thank you for your time and as Mr. Murrow’s signature sign off is so very relevant I shall use it here.

Not a fan of our choices, but here's my observation with regard to your question:

I think those in the mass media biased against Trump--or simply pro-Clinton--and there's a lot--would probably be better off NOT being so overt in their anti-Trump reporting. Counter-intuitive, I know, but hear me out.

Those opposed to him don't need further convincing, they never did, but there is a tendency among those in the less polarized middle and those with luke-warm support for The Donald to repel against the open bias and subtly motivates them--if not to support--to defend Trump. Not so much because he's likeable, but because his coverage is so openly one sided, that many of the American public are reeling against the feeling that the media wants to decide for them who the "right" person is rather than let the people decide.

If the media eased back the throttle on the anti-Trump bullet train, and let his own words carry or bury him, I suspect he would actually lose some popularity.

Either way, time to buy some popcorn and watch the fireworks.

Liberal campaign mangers and their staff have demonstrated how deplorable and despicable they are over the past couple decades. Each campaign seems to be more bitter than the last Maj Marty Hogan. I remember how they attacked Herman Cain who was a very good man for a consensual relationship with another woman. He bowed out because he is basically a gentleman.
You have to have thick skin to run for national office where lies are thrown out and gobbled up by many in the media and broadcast.
I see very negative campaign adds which trash the opponent but offer nothing positive about the congresswoman wannabe or Hillary. The primary focus of these adds here is that the liberals will ensure than induced abortion on demand will be legal, available and paid for by federal tax dollars.
With all the challenges facing this nation, it is telling that the progressive/liberals are focused on shoring up their rabid base.
Over the past two days I have seen images of Donald Trump from the 1990s. I expect this is to compare him with impeached former President Bill Clinton's abuse of woman in that time frame.
However the allegations against Trump are falsifiable and petty. If these allegations were made about Bill and Hillary [which had much worse allegations against them] their supporters would cheer and blame the victims. :-(

Maj Marty Hogan, I think it's redundant for the Clintons to call out Trump on sexual advancements to women, when Wee Willy couldn't keep Mr. Happy in his pants. This is old news about politicians, who have had mistresses since George Washington was POTUS. One POTUS even had a kid with his good time. The media, the Clintons, most Democrats, think the GOP is full of idiots, or/and full of deplorables. When they have a finger pointing at us, there are three pointing back at them.
