Have you been contacted by somebody you served with outside RallyPoint and invited them to join RallyPoint?

I was invited to join RallyPoint by two Linked In contacts a couple years ago and joined last year.
Yesterday a soldier who was trained by my infantry training company in 1985 contacted me and thanked me for helping him so many years ago. He didn't remember my name until we linked up on a Harmony Church group.
I expect that many of you have been contacted or bumped into somebody you served with

Some are either too liberal and prefer to stay away from what they perceive to be conservative only conversations, and others say they'd rather stick to conversations on FaceBook, as they can get their messages out to a larger demographic. This is of course translating it from what they really said.
I tried to explain to them that it is also a military networking site similar to LinkedIn, but they'd rather stay with LinkedIn. Thank God marketing is not my major because I'm failing at it.
