How about your DI? Did you ever feel like you wanted to just kick his ass, especially if you knew that you could get away with it?

I respected my DS. I wasn't very impressed with them though. My Senior Drill had the case of the fuck its because it was his last cycle. My other Drill was relieved because of untold reasons but I'm pretty sure it was because we had to form up naked in the bay for shower drills. My other Drill was so old he had a heart attk during one of our runs. I had a PSG that would kick me and the rest of my dismount squad out the Bradley at night in the freezing ft Carson snow so he could lay on the benches in the back. All part of the "Leadership challenge".

In Boot Camp, I got my ass beat pretty much everyday. I had this one DI, a Sergeant (E-5) and he was a cocky bastard and he was short. The bastard only stood about 5'5" tall and he had that "small man syndrome ." I was, and still am, 6'2" and that little bastard would always grab me by the throat. Man, did I want to drill this bastard! Eventually, what they say really happened. "What goes around-comes around." This dumb SOB got into some shit and was busted and he eventually got transferred to Nam. He was placed in my squad and all I can say is that payback is really a mother fu-ker. I can truly tell you that revenge really is sweet.

Wow, that is some sad sh*t there. Good for you taking it in and being better for it.

Once as a Petty Officer First Class I had a Division Leading "E-9" that took a dislike to me. I knew not why and never found out and finally transferred. I didn't want to kick his ass or wish him any harm, I just wanted him to leave me alone. It was his own personally assigned task to supervise my every move when he was aboard the ship. No one else in the division knew why, even the other khakis. He was truly an "E-9", not a Master Chief by his actions. (a long time ago)

Ohyeah.... I have had a few, but one guy in particular comes to mind. Never answered a question ever. Always shady with direction. Quick with critique, and never provided any support.

Strangely enough thinks the rank of SSG is untouchable as well. But I have a feeling it will all catch up to him.
