Have you ever spot corrected someone not in the military, but still working for the government?

I was at the airport, and noticed TSA agents working in a room and one of the agents was on a computer with information that could be sensitive and I tried (tactfully) letting him know that any bystander can see your computer screen and is an information security violation. Do we have a duty to correct other government personnel?

You did right. I've asked many desk clerks at the VA and SMs on SECRET machines about screens that mitigate shoulder surfing and worries of snooping. No one is perfect, even if they try and/or have completed necessary or check-the-block training. We have to help each other.

Oh YES! Security is EVERYONE'S responsibility. You may have seen all the Public Service Messages posted around all public transportation: bus stations, airports . . . If you SEE something SAY SOMETHING!!
Another example is the UK Back when the Irish were bombing anywhere they could. The British trained ALL the citizens to be on the look out for suspicious packages and unattended objects. No police force would be effective on their own.

Yes....but make sure you know what the rule and regs are that apply to them before you do so. Just because they are a government entity doesn't mean that the rules that apply to us in DoD applies to them.
