The discussion format is one of the worst layouts to actually encourage discussion out there. It's anti intuitive, labor intenvise and just plain not user friendly (especially the app). In fact the last time I expressed this feeling my post was removed! Apparently there is freedom of expression on this site as long as you don't critize admin for changing members posts.

Obviously I don't think this should be happening and while I have asked for a specific RP policy on this matter none has been offered. I think that is sad. We have already had one SM get disciplined for how his post was changed. This should not be tolerated.Response by PO2 Jonathan Scharff made Jan 31 at 2015 12:29 AM2015-01-31T00:29:03-05:002015-01-31T00:29:03-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member446284

I once took a hiatus because other life concerns took priority and RP was taking time away from focusing on them, but once things cleared up I returned. They said it was taken down because there was already a post on the subject, and if I wanted to contribute to the subject, I needed to stick with the original post. I was good with that. However, a day or two later, a different admin made a post almost exactly like mine on the exact same subject. That post is still up. I can't stand inconsistency amongst authority. She was removed as an admin by CPT Laurie H. and has since been banned by RallyPoint.

Furthermore, I explicitly stated that my objections to Dana Perrino being on RallyPoint were due to her civilian status, and I'd be equally objecting to Jay Carney's presence. I was explicitly called a liar, told not to take it personally, and had my integrity questioned. Had I responded in kind, I'd have been sanctioned by the admins.

RallyPoint is no longer about serving those of us who served, it's about click bait, and letting rabble rousers start trouble just to generate traffic. It provides the wrong impression of veterans and those of us still serving to the outside world. Most of us are stable, and have integrity. Unstable idiots are the exceptions, not the rule.

RallyPoint seems to be turning that on its ear.

And......RallyPoint staff seem to be biased. I do not trust that in the event of a dispute that I will get a fair and impartial hearing. That, and that alone is why I have not gone completely off the rails against those who have verbally attacked me and shown they have no honor whatsoever.

At this point, I'm going to have to be convinced to stay on RallyPoint.
