Seems about every 4 years I go up reach a peak that I&#39;m doing great, then the bottom falls out and I slide fast to the bottom bounce for about a year, then rise again. And it seems like it hits us all in different ways. Depression, Anxiety, etc. One thing that helped me was realizing that there is so much more out there than the military. Enjoy your memories of the past, but focus on making new memories. Try everything you have ever wanted to try, explore new places, write a book, live dangerously. <br /><br />Maybe you could articulate that to them and it would help them understand that the world doesn't stop with the military.
