Have you found a career that serves a higher purpose since transitioning?

I was very fortunate after coming home to find a career as a Financial Planner. I've hired 2 other Vets this year and placed 4 others with different companies they were better suited for.

Yes, I have found that that "higher purpose" in my job with the DHS Office of Inspector General.

I fear my question was structured poorly. I wasn't implying that being in the military didn't serve a higher purpose or that a new career could exceed it. I think a lot of men lose their sense of purpose after the military and it contributes to the 22 a day we're losing to suicide. I think the VA and other organizations alike are phenomenal but, there's a disconnect between finding Vets a job and finding Vets a career or calling. I don't think any of us consider what we did a "job" as it was more of a calling or a duty.
