My first thought was, " What a stupid idea!" I am and will always be a .45ACP guy at heart, so looked a little closer. I have been a competitive action pistol shooter for years. Most people can shoot 4 .45 rounds a second accurately (it takes a little practice, but it can be done.) Most people can reload in less than 3 seconds. My FNX45 holds 15 rounds. I just don't see any benefit to having two barrels to make any of those things better.

In saying all that, I don't see why anybody would have a Desert Eagle yet they still make them. That could be picked up with a more powerful 9 mm round. Never needed to consider that with a Magnum handgun, one shot was fine. With a 45 You sure don't need to do that either. Unless You have an under powered handgun there seems to be little purpose, kind of overkill. Our Police Department didn't go to 9 mm like many did but to 10 mm which = 40 caliber, still didn't have the stopping power of the Magnums. Seems You also would have to carry twice the amount of ammo for the load in the weapon plus reloads. I'm not all that impressed by this double barrel stuff.
