Yes, I realize this is a highly sensitive issue, and I am only posting it for informational purposes only. If this discussion turns heated, derogatory, or mean, I will pull this down in a heartbeat.

According to Breitbart and a variety of other online sources, the group #FuKYoFlag, some elements of #BlackLivesMatter, and the New Black Panther Party are calling for a day of violence against police, military, and other whites in authority on September 11th, advocating the burning of the American Flag, Confederate Flag, British Flag, and the murdering and lynching of whites on this solemn anniversary.

This is very disturbing, as it matches some of the rhetoric I heard from marchers at the BLM protest of the Minnesota State Fair on Saturday. I am very concerned with the direction these groups want to steer us, despite the many valid concerns they do have. What are your thoughts?

Sir, a few things. BLM had good intentions when it first started and is a "victim" of it's own "success(?)". They had the intent of raising awareness to a problem and originally sought peaceful demonstrations that highlighted that cause. It's morphed into something that is the total opposite of what it was intended to do and will burn itself out in due time. I also don't find fault completely with them because we (as a older generation) allowed this generation to get where it is. I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to pull a third of the BS they have done when I was their age and younger. And it's not just a racial thing either. Lack of education, parental responsibilities, and internal fortitude have also allowed the current generation to slip as it has. They've lost perspective and the value of life and there's not much being done to bring them back in line. All of that does not excuse the wanton call for violence, it doesn't excuse the violence that can/has happened in the name of (insert so called martyr here) or anything else. I'm going to take a beating from someone on this, and I'll be told that the KKK did it for a century unstopped and that would be true. I'll take a beating for NEO Nazi's and the underreported violence they call for and execute and that's true. But I'll ask this; is there a difference when BLM, KKK, Neo (anything), NBPP, or a common person calls for violence? It's definitely handled differently between the groups when it shouldn't be. When are we going to realize we are one country, under one flag, indivisible, with justice for all?

Cpl Jeff N. - I was personally called for emergency duty when the the Michael Brown case was going on and a lot of people failed to look at the evidence that was right in front of them. Also it didn't help that the news was just instigating everything in their own little ways.

SSG Warren Swan Not knowing the complete history of BLM, I thank you for bringing this forward. I agree that generationally we have changed, but believe the 1% of law enforcement who misuse authority and commit crime under the color of law should be punished as individuals not as "ALL" law enforcement. In essence the principle founding cause of BLM was in protection of life and now that cause is being perverted into resulting in a movement which is resulting in followers (even if not directly) taking lives. On both sides of the thin blue line this must stop. Our only way forward is as Americans and as fellow countrymen.

To injustice the American flag which we have fought for, is an insult to our Republic and to us as the protectors of our Republic. While I am ready to suffer insult so our freedoms can be respected, our Republic does not have to be so forgiving.

As law enforcement officers, we must enforce the law in the spirit in which it is intended, fairly, honestly, justly, and with aggressiveness. We must also not be fearful of oppression, injury, or perception as long as we are upholding our oaths. The longer this continues, the worse it will become. The final outcome will be much worse if we do not find solutions to heal and bring us together.

Blah, blah, blah, these are all examples of weak leadership at the top. This group has dug holes instead of opening up opportunities for those who need it.

MAJ (Join to see) - Very disturbing. This is fast getting out of control and decisive action must be taken now to stop it. I know --- Very easy to say, but extremely difficult to do.

For starters, these groups should be identified as "hate groups" and dealt with accordingly. If the KKK was marching and calling for wholesale murder of blacks, or if an ultra-conservative group was marching and calling for the murder of gays, the Obama Administration and DOJ would have already pounced on it and shut it down.

The current administration has enabled these groups by their inaction, rhetoric and non-support of the police in racially-charged incidents. It has now gotten out of control and, unfortunately, the only way to get it back under control is the use of force, which will make it worse, at least initially, until control and the rule of law is reestablished.

The USA puts down situations like this in other countries... We need to do it in our own country.

COL Jean (John) F. B. MAJ (Join to see) Capt Seid Waddell , Gentlemen, Could not agree more. I think we need to examine bringing back laws pertaining to desecration of the colors, flags, and symbols of our great Republic. One prosecution would be a start. The bigger the "meal" the more bites you have to take to finish it all. This activity might even meet the FBI definition of terrorism. Yet another proactive strategy for enforcement and intelligence gathering.

SFC Dr. Joseph Finck, BS, MA, DSS - The liberal agenda and PC crap that is permeating this country is destroying it. While the Supreme Court (what a joke) rules that desecrating the American flag is protected by the 1st Amendment, the Obama DOJ prosecutes those who destroy the gay "rainbow" flag as a hate crime, while not declaring the "Black Live Matter" group (who are at least partially to blame for and complicit in the murder of innocent police officers), a "hate group".

The Confederate flag is racist and must be banned, while the rainbow flag and ISIS flag are OK .... simply crazy and exactly what can be expected in the Republic of Obamastan. If the American people don't wake up and do something soon, the "Obamastanis" will completely destroy our country.

The lawlessness and immorality in our country has been allowed to go on for far too long. While I certainly do not advocate doing anything unlawful, we must do all that is legally permissible to get us back on track.

COL Jean (John) F. B., sir, I believe that the most effective recourse we have to turn the country around again will be at the ballot box. We need to elect conservatives that have the courage of their convictions and to primary out the spineless surrender-monkeys we have in the GOP leadership today.

They wipe their ass with the American Flag. Strangely, they do not burn the American dollar.
