My intent is not to bring up any bad memories for veterans that fought in Fallujah. If that is the case, please pass on this article. It is to bring to light the extraordinary bravery and will of our Marine Warriors!

This time of year marks the anniversary of one of the most storied battles in recent Marine Corps history: the Second Battle of Fallujah. The city became the scene of brutal urban combat when American, Iraqi, and British forces launched an all out assault on Nov. 8, 2004, to seize it from Iraqi insurgent hands.

Some of the Marine Corps’ greatest heroes and most recent legends emerged from the battle.

The last Story, probably caused several pairs of drawers to be fatally wounded. Seeing a missile skidding across the floor cannot imagine what those Marines were thinking when they saw that. How do you respond if you are the Army element? I don't think a simple "Sorry, my bad." would cover almost blowing friendlies up with a missile.

It is hard to believe that it was a little over 11 years ago that Fallujah became the scene of brutal urban combat when American, Iraqi, and British forces launched an all out assault on Nov. 8, 2004, to seize it from Iraqi insurgent hands.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs, I have always thought of Marines as heroes. Now I KNOW that they are.
With that having been said, I could not read any further, after I read about Corporal Dale Burger.
Tears just overwhelmed me.
I sincerely and highly Respect, Honor and Love all of you Marines.
Corporal Dale Burger, I could not Honor, Respect or Love you more. Rest in peace, Brother. Rest in peace.
To the family, relatives, and Marines: Corporal Dale Burger- went just the way he would have wanted to: as a Hero.
