In the Marines they teach you to run towards the bullets.
But in the Army, they teach us to shoot back.
But in the Army, they teach us to shoot back.

I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose. Fire away, fire away.
Clearly, the Marine theme song is Titanium if that's true.

SGT Kristin Wiley - Ma'am I must admit that Parris Island and San Diego MCRD inspires recruits to think they can take on the whole world single handily and win even though logic dictates differently. Most Marines are cocky, swagger, and in some cases ignorant, but most are instilled with a some way, some how, we can win this, we can overcome this, and it's that attitude that has brought the US Marine Corps many victories, how be it sometimes at a cost that to most people would be unimaginable. It's the belief that no matter the odds, I am bullet proof and will overcome.
Check out Lt General Chesty Puller's story at the link below. I admit we got attitude, but attitude a lot of time is what wins battles. Can you imagine leading one Marine division against 7 divisions of the Chinese Army, fight your way back to friendly lines and taking out all your dead, wounded, and usable equipment with you? Not only is that a feat in itself, but the fact that the 7 Chinese divisions were left behind in a wake of chaos, confusion, and death is almost unbelievable. I trained with the Army and my family has had Army Vets in every war all the way back to the War with England. I have a lot of respect for all branches. Yes , I like to joke and carry on but if we are anywhere in the same area and shit hits the fan, rest assured I got your back and any other s regardless of branch. Hope you read about Chesty Puller. God bless and have a great day. May God keep you all safe.

Thank you Sir. I do have a lot of respect for the Army. All my older cousins are Army Vietnam Vets. My Dad was a Korean war Army Vet. All my great Uncles were WW2 Army Vets. Our family cemetery is full of Vets. Both sides of the Civil war, The Historical Society put plaque markers on all the Civil War vets graves and. the family members who fought in the Revolutionary. War. We have family vets buried from nearly every war America has had the. Army involved in. Every Vet except one served in the Army. I have a great. Uncle who served in the Air Force in Korea. I broke tradition and became the first Marine ever in our family.
