It isn’t a “tag” line; it’s the core of everything we stand for as a service. Everyone in our Air Force should feel respected. Everyone should feel valued. Every single person around you brings something to the fight that you don’t. Each of them is critically important to mission success, and they deserve to be treated that way.” Response by Capt Brandon Charters made Aug 28 at 2015 1:33 AM 2015-08-28T01:33:16-04:00 2015-08-28T01:33:16-04:00 PO1 William "Chip" Nagel 923704

Nope but I have a Korean War Copy of the Blue Jackets Manual that I got in a trade for a CTO3&2. Add to the, the fact that you raised your hand to volunteer and realize the fact that other jobs typically don't expect you to risk your life.

The rest of the book covers what is expected of an airman: Code of Conduct, Airman's Creed, Core Values, etc.

First, I can appreciate the definitions behind the core values. Everyone has their idea of what Integrity, Service and Excellence are. However, this sets the expectations more firmly in place.

Second, I will never fault big Air Force for trying to get everyone on the same page. You will have your nay-sayers. Guaranteed. I am sure that someone is brewing up some bent up rendition of this for some blog.

There are criticisms about the Airman's Creed, the Core Values...you name it. Big AF is trying to establish a sense of tradition. We fly airplanes, we fix airplanes, we equip airplane, we gather intelligence, we protect stuff, we bomb stuff, and we do have SF Operators, too...have a great day.

What I don't want is this become a "What are the three parts of Integrity First?" on a promotion board. This shouldn't become a test of memorization. It should be a 'does this airman walk to talk'?
