Have you seen this - Texas doctors compete with wheelchair basketball team?

Peterson Regional Medical Center celebrated National Rehabilitation Awareness Week with the fourth annual basketball game Thursday pitting physicians against the San Antonio Spurs Wheelchair Basketball Team.

“Like all of our events this week, it’s a community awareness we are after,” said Lori Michel, Peterson director of rehabilitation services. “It’s so important to show the impact our unit has with our patients.”

This year, the game took a different approach as the doctors and members of the San Antonio Spurs Wheelchair Basketball Team were mixed into two teams.

Army veteran Charles Armstead lost his leg as a result of an injury during a tour in Iraq in 2009. He began playing with the Spurs Wheelchair Team in 2011, which he said has provided a positive outlet.

Interesting post COL Mikel J. Burroughs. I understand from the article that Peterson Regional Medical Center celebrated National Rehabilitation Awareness Week with the fourth annual basketball game Thursday by pitting physicians against the San Antonio Spurs Wheelchair Basketball Teams. The teams split their members so that members were split among the teams.
If everybody played from a wheelchair, I expect that might give those who are confined to a wheelchair a home-seat advantage :-)
