Have you used the Delta Airlines Military Lounge in Atlanta's airport?

I saw this display in the Atlanta Hartfield-Jackson airport D concourse last night. Delta is offering their own lounge option for military personnel, retirees and families. Looks like an option to rest between flights for those who can't make it to the USO on the third floor of the Atrium.
Has anyone else seen this in Atlanta or another airport? Has anyone experienced these facilities?

This sounds like a great idea....for those who can't get up to the USO office. Some may not like it but I think it just shows that persons do care about our brothers and sisters, both serving or are vets.

These are great at Airports where they are behind security and within the terminal and the USO isn't.

To be honest, the only USO I've ever used on the outside of the security lines was in San Antonio when waiting to get picked up by a bus to go to Camp Bullis for deployment training. If I have to leave the inside of the terminal and go back through security (and I wouldn't have to anyway to change terminals) to get to the USO, I'm not going to do it.

That's why I really like the USO in the Denver and Dallas airports. They are inside the terminal, past the security lines and all terminals are accessible from there.

That's a great service since the USO is not always conveniently located (like most National Guard & Reserve armories, lol).

Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport has a great independent Serviceman's Center. It is not part of the USO or any airline. its a private charitable organization! They have bunks for overnight. Very nice facility

I started working for Delta after retiring and can tell you they are a very pro military company. I'd say half of the pilots are ex military and maybe 20% of the flight attendants.

The USO at Hartfield-Jackson is the best I have ever seen in at airport here in the U.S.

They also have a USO but it is outside the security area.

I don’t get to Atlanta airport much anymore now that I fly outta CHARLOTTE but the USO at CHARLOTTE is inside Security centrally located upstairs I use it before every departure

The Atlanta facilities mentioned here are decent especially for those awaiting a connecting flight, though they have a very limited number of cots and it’s in the general open space, so if you’re looking for privacy and some sleep it’s not your best option. If you’re looking for some southern hospitality and some decent free food, this is perfect. All staff members were helpful and knowledgeable when it came to knowledge of the airport.

This is what I know. I flew first class from South America into Atlanta with Delta. I had my wheelchair pusher roll me to the Delta First Class Lounge where I was told that the particular Delta aircraft in which I flew wasn't "eligible" for first class the lounge! I was turned away. They didn't care, but I told the staff that I was going to switch back to United Airlines via Houston where I was always able to have First Class Lounge entry. I'd switched to Delta because the connecting flight was quicker via Atlanta than via Houston.
