Having missed most political posts, how will RP move forward so new members want to contribute or when others vanish? Time to Buddy22 up?

RP members who were active have disappeared into the shadows or completely; exasperation, illness, deployments, burnout. This issue transcends RP. Remember old guys, teach new, new bring forward thinking; what atmosphere do we want moving forward? Holidays and winter bring a multitude of feelings; how do we mend rifts and create welcome? Buddy22? GreenLight? Topics? Ideas? Vision? Tag someone!

I'd say stop beating the political drums. In the last few months prior to the election we probably lost a few members. Some comments were disparaging and coming from mature responsible adults. Having said that, I recognize that this election was very polarizing and many people felt that their voice wasn't being heard. I say we refrain from making this a political forum. Your vote is your voice.

, in a way I agree with you. I live in Canada and they are going to proceed with the carbon taxes which destroys your ability to compete and it hurts everybody. With Donald Trump winning, they're going to push the carbon taxes anyway. In a province that has gone all green and got rid of their coal fired plants. Mismanagement and Corruption have made electrical rates triple. The premier or governor of Ontario is a Hillary Clinton type of person that admits to pay to play politics in so that's why her mismanagement has caused her province of Ontario to be broke and her constituents to have an near Riot because their electrical rates have tripled due to Green liberal ways of thinking.
So, I am the canary in a coal mine here in the great white North where the Liberals use Canada as Spain was used by Germany before the beginning of World War II.
So you don't like the term liberal but liberals here are somewhat like between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton Democrats. Liberals are extreme Democrats and we also have socialists here called the new Democratic Party which believes that they could negotiate with the green party people is like trying to negotiate a fair settlement with Islamic State. So I will still post articles such as the Canadian government decided to scrap their F-35 program because it's too expensive and to pick the F-18 Super Hornet as an alternative.

I have generally tried to generally avoid the rabid and baiting political posts Maj Kim Patterson;but, I know many thrive on them. I prefer to be involved in historical, international affairs, veterans and faith related discussions. I like the good news stories that SrA Christopher Wright and SGT (Join to see) share as well as the veterans interest stories of CPT Jack Durish, SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL and COL Mikel J. Burroughs and the music sharing posts of TSgt Joe C. and PO2 (Anonymous) and the history posts of SP5 Mark Kuzinski Maj Marty Hogan and many others.

I try to mix my commentary, with my past experiences, while being serious or funny& serious on some things, such as, putting videos of Ozzie's new show or showing you the latest and funny McHammer Commercial. I try to talk about the F-35 Junk Strike Fighter gobbling up money and yet we have to pay triple on our Government travel card for a plane ticket that we could get for almost 70% less on at any discount airplane ticket web site.

And speaking of F-35s, you can get there faster in one but it will cost you! Can't beat the view from the seat!

Not to change the subject, but could you go into more detail about the “triple on our government travel card”?

2012 my flight from Edmonton,Alberta Canada to Honolulu was $2400 US. At that time on Priceline it was $800. The only Advantage was that it was a refundable or modifiable ticket.

Ouch! So, you have to take the first option instead of another? Certainly glad that my boy has time to save some green. He’s entering the Pipeline
