My orders read 3d Special Forces Group at Ft Bragg, but when I arrived there in February 1967, my wife at the time came down with a severe case of pneumonia, so I asked the Assignments Officer at the Special Warfare Center if he could find another job for me on post, so I wouldn’t have to leave her alone while I went off to jump school. He did, and Imwas assigned as an Intelligence Analyst with the 13th Psyop Battalion. Once you go USAR, you forfeit options. but since you are on this site, I guess you are PS. As a former recruiter, I wish you a good one who will guide you as if you were his son or daughter. They are out there. Psyops can open some interesting doors, militarily and in the civilian world. Welcome to the Big Green Machine.
