Since you posted this question under Airborne school (originally), can I assume that the three items I would take are in addition to the parachute? If so, I would take a knife, a mirror, and as much water as I could carry! Especially, if I was L.I.D.! I had a gallon ziplock bag with assorted seasonings for food(have to have my Texas Pete). Since I had a HUMVEE and lived out of it pretty much the staples to be a comfortable as possible. I did have a small tarp and bungee cords that came in real handy.
