Hey team,

It's been a long while since I've posted anything meaningful as I've transitioned back into drilling and maintaining a solid civilian career. I just wanted to ask you all: how is everything? What's life been like?

Today, I got to pick up two pounds of live Manila clams, and I got to steam them in some white wine and butter. I had them outside on my patio with the wind and the rest of the Phoenix weather that's been handed down by the stormier regions. Later today, I went out with my best friend over to my friend Malik's place, and ate some incredible Kentucky-style brisket with a professional chef, a cellist with the Phoenix Symphony, and several German tourists exploring my home state.

Life is great, and I sincerely hope the rest of you are able to enjoy creation's mechanations and creations regularly.

That's always an incredible feeling to know you're on the right path. I've had the blessings to be able to afford a few luxuries over the past year since I've gotten back; in the past, I was always that guy that had issues managing money or just consistently being screwed by situations outside of my control. I'm glad that you're able to look on the bright side and recognize that you're doing better; so many people have issues with being able to empirically compare their past years versus the current, and see the better in the now versus then. I hope it only gets better here for you.

Oh man, they were good. Oddly enough, as I was in the middle of cooking these, a friend of mine invited me out to his place to have some of the brisket he roasted through the day (picture attached.). I got to spend the late afternoon and night hanging out with a professional chef, a cellist with the Phoenix Symphony, and several German tourists. How blessed I must be to enjoy days like this. If you ever make it to Phoenix, come on down, my house is always open.
