CPO Joost Janssen Thank you for being a part of the Q&A here on RallyPoint and thanks for your outstanding service to this country!

I've got two questions for you Joost:

1. How did you get in the business of doing military stunts?

2. Did the crew for "American Assassin" ever call upon you for your expertise as a Navy Seal when it came to certain operations or realism in the actual film?

COL Mikel Burroughs,
It’s an interesting story on how I got started. I work for a company call GSGI, that is run by Harry and Catherine Humphries. Harry is also a former SEAL and has been a military advisor to Hollywood for 20+ years. He was the Military advisor on classics like, Black Hawk Down.
10 years ago GSGI contacted me to work as a special ability extra on the first Transformers movie. This lead to many more opportunities over the years in Military Stunts, Advising and Training.

The crew on American Assassin were extremely receptive to input and advice.
They brought me out to London 2 weeks before filming started. This is very beneficial. I was able to meet with the Director daily going over scenes that could be tweaked to make them more authentic. The cast received training in weapons and tactics before filming started.
Department Heads (Props, Costume, Set-dec, Stunts, etc) were available to collaborate with.
