Dear Sir or Madam,
Please advise if I am eligible for your program. Though a Vietnam veteran, I just recently experienced a first mental/emotional breakdown out of nowhere. Fortunately, my wife and dog were there to see me through it. It worries me though because I thought the worse and kept telling myself “not to do it”.

I have been looking for assistance but all the programs I've found are for Post 911 veterans. I am in Washington State. Do I qualify?

Here’s my personal experience with recovering from a traumatic life event:

I experienced family trauma early in life when my mom left the family. It affected my mental health and life for 55 years. I recently learned about EMDR therapy and found an EMDR therapist. EMDR therapy quickly helped me release the negative emotions related to the trauma. I feel at peace within myself for the first time in my life. I know others who also experienced healing from traumatic events by seeing a therapist who is certified in EMDR therapy. This type of therapy does not involve prescription drugs or hypnosis. Too bad that post this a month late. I have been suffering from PTSD for more than 40 years and all the VA does is give me more pills or lock me up in a psych ward.
