MAJ Jim Steven 548611

This is in regards to being forced to have someone verify what you already know, because even though we all claim to live the Army values, you can NOT be trusted.
For example, lets say, a few days prior to a PT test, you pull a muscle. You know you will not be able to test until this heals up, you know you dont really need to see a doctor - as time, and a heating pad should probably do the trick (if not, then maybe go see a doc).
Another example, you wake up with one of those stomach viruses that keeps you in the bathroom. You need to go to sick call, so they can tell you to stay home.
A 3rd example, before loading documents into a scanner, you have to get someone to verify they arent classified - a LTC asking an E-3 to verify.

I am not complaining...I get it. But, what are your thoughts on these types of things??

Invite others to respond by typing @name Honest, integrity and the fact that we dont trust each other 2015-03-24T11:32:30-04:00 MAJ Jim Steven 548611

This is in regards to being forced to have someone verify what you already know, because even though we all claim to live the Army values, you can NOT be trusted.
For example, lets say, a few days prior to a PT test, you pull a muscle. I have had the opportunity to work for platoon sergeants and first sergeants that would excuse you if you were a top performer and your pattern was honesty a phone call in the first two examples was enough for an alibi. Sadly until honesty and integrity is the norm and not the exception I feel as a collective the "check the checker" mentality will prevail every time.
