There are smaller activities in other locations of a similar nature.<br />The big deal is that a lot of the latent insurgencies, criminal organizations, and human traffickers are not really contained by borders, and are just fine spreading mayhem all over the place.<br />The Lord's Army (Joseph Kony), Al Shabaab, and Ansar al Islami to name a few. The human trafficking piece is particularly tragic in scope.
