How and can I renegotiate rasp or airborne school into my contract if I have already signed?

I am currently a private junior enlisted 68w and am set to ship out in late may I am wondering if there is any possibility I could renegotiate my contract or add airborne or rasp to it as my goal is to join the 75 ranger regiment

I was able to add RASP to my contract at the end of BCT. A recruiter from regiment came by to take names down for volunteers.

They have a pretty active recruitment page on instagram @75th_ranger_recruiting that you can directly ask these questions to.

Last I checked, you currently have to graduate RASP before you go to Airborne School. This change went into effect in 2018.

You don't. The RASP recruiters will come see you in AIT. RASP is open to everyone in the Army and completely voluntary, you don't need a contract to guarantee it. That's like paying for 911 service on your phone

Short answer, NO.
You might be able to swing a RASP slot during AIT. IF you pass RASP you'll go on to jump school, and then Regiment.

You can't. RASP is a voluntary thing. You volunteer to go for Ranger Selection. It is usually during your AIT where they come around taking names, rarely in basic but it is not unheard of. You pass RASP and they will send you to Airborne and then Ranger school. Good luck

NO this is not "Lets Make a Deal", you have passed that point, your contact has been written and signed. A contract with RASP or Airborne can be dangerous- if you fail, they will stick you where the want you. ABN and Rangers normally sent recruiters around to AIT/OSUT places before graduation looking for prospects.

If you can get to jump school they usually take whoever wants to go on graduation day too. Big ol formation of guys at mine

Luckily you may not have to, Regiment is recruiting more out of AIT. It is very likely possibility that you could volunteer there. However, I want to make sure you understand that as a medic you’ll probably be expected to graduate RASP, SOCM/Airborne before you ever get to your Battalion. Considering we’re still in a pandemic that’s gonna be a long long time you’re gonna be spent locked down with plenty of room to slip up and throw it all away.
