A recruiter from regiment came by to take names down for volunteers.<br /><br />They have a pretty active recruitment page on instagram @75th_ranger_recruiting that you can directly ask these questions to.<br /><br />Last I checked, you currently have to graduate RASP before you go to Airborne School. This change went into effect in 2018.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 4 at 2021 5:01 PM2021-03-04T17:01:35-05:002021-03-04T17:01:35-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member6795383<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You don't. The RASP recruiters will come see you in AIT. RASP is open to everyone in the Army and completely voluntary, you don't need a contract to guarantee it. IF you pass RASP you'll go on to jump school, and then Regiment.Response by LTC John Czarnecki made Mar 4 at 2021 5:13 PM2021-03-04T17:13:00-05:002021-03-04T17:13:00-05:00SSG Brian G.6796307<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You can't. RASP is a voluntary thing. You volunteer to go for Ranger Selection. It is usually during your AIT where they come around taking names, rarely in basic but it is not unheard of. You pass RASP and they will send you to Airborne and then Ranger school. Good luckResponse by SSG Brian G. made Mar 5 at 2021 12:07 AM2021-03-05T00:07:09-05:002021-03-05T00:07:09-05:00SGM Bill Frazer6798928<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>NO this is not "Lets Make a Deal", you have passed that point, your contact has been written and signed. A contract with RASP or Airborne can be dangerous- if you fail, they will stick you where the want you. ABN and Rangers normally sent recruiters around to AIT/OSUT places before graduation looking for prospects.Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Mar 5 at 2021 9:03 PM2021-03-05T21:03:19-05:002021-03-05T21:03:19-05:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member6799044<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you can get to jump school they usually take whoever wants to go on graduation day too. It is very likely possibility that you could volunteer there. However, I want to make sure you understand that as a medic you’ll probably be expected to graduate RASP, SOCM/Airborne before you ever get to your Battalion. Considering we’re still in a pandemic that’s gonna be a long long time you’re gonna be spent locked down with plenty of room to slip up and throw it all away.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 7 at 2021 1:40 PM2021-03-07T13:40:03-05:002021-03-07T13:40:03-05:002021-03-04T16:48:29-05:00
