April 15 is quickly approaching and there are a number of changes to the tax codes both federal and state levels. Have you done your taxes yet and if not, how do you plan to do them?

Already done and my returns are back and in the bank. Even though the family has a number of income streams, they are all straight forward, so I do my own taxes.

My accountant retired 2 years ago so I'm using the firm he recommended. Cost is about the same but I feel confident they are accurate and honest.

After getting burned by Turbo Tax a couple years back when filing was supposed to be free and then hitting me with a fee for the filing plus a processing fee from Green Dot I switched to OLT. (Online taxes). I found the site on the IRS site. No fees, just as fast as Turbo. Why pay if you don't have to ?!

I have used FreeTaxUSA for the past several years. It is one of many listed on the IRS site. It remembers my info from year-to-year, all I do is plug in the latest numbers from the 1099 R & Social Security and I'm done. I filed in mid-Jan, the refund was deposited 3 weeks later. All done electronically.

Cpl Vic Burk take a look at the thread you started with the Algebra club photo. I left ya a little goodie.
