How can a prior service veteran come back into the military with a 10% VA disability rating for PTSD?

I have 20% VA disability rating. 10% is due to PTSD. I am told that I have no chance coming back in the army as prior service because of this. Is that true? If so, what do I need to do to be able to get back into the military. I don't take any medications and have no issues with day to day life.

LTJG Private RallyPoint Member You will need documentation documentation documentation. You will need a kick ass recruiter that will fight for you. Get ready for a long one. You'll need a waiver just to go to MEPS. MEPS will then have to clear you. Then you'll need to get a Surgeon General's waiver to reenlist. My fight has taken 18.5 yrs for a med discharge (10% RE3 code).

History of PTSD is a disqualifier, and requires a waiver.
Recruiter can tell you whether waivers are being considered.
