But your unit has to do the paperwork. my second enlistment I was with 3/5 Cav and reclassified from infantry to Cook. For better job prospects. The Soldier's current MOS must be overstrength (N/Y) and the new MOS must be understrength (Y/N). Certain application MOS' can be applied for at any time, regardless of In and Out-Call requirements. I have personally been able to reclass out of a Balanced MOS and into another Balanced MOS. But those are case-by-case basis. That's how I went from 11C to 13F. Of course that was in 1978.
