I have used TWO Databases to see what is available, and it&#39;s not much. I would literally do anything to deploy. What can increase my chances at getting to deploy? Any advice helps. How can I better my chances of getting deployed? 2018-11-14T22:12:48-05:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 4128070 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Without getting into OPSEC, I am having a very hard time finding a deployment. Depending on the battle rhythm, there may be units needing your MOS. I would recommend considering a transfer to the USAR or active component as well. There should be an office/section at your Guard State HQ who handles those tasks- maybe in the J5/or G5 Plans area. They may have insight on upcoming units deploying. Ask around.... there are still missions going, just fewer and farther between now.<br /><br />You&#39;ll probably have to transfer to that unit to deploy or do an Interstate transfer- we had a CPT from Arizona mobilize with our unit in 2009-2010 to Egypt. He went back to AZ when the mob was done. Got married and had a baby on the way and all the sudden I was signed up for a couple years worth of deployments. Even though I still live in Chicago area, I ended up in the PA guard and got a deployment by accident. It&#39;s all about how much funding a state has. The experience of their units is a big point. My current unit has deployed about 5-6 times since 2000, and has asked for volunteers another 2-3 times. I liked the 33rd while I was there but they don&#39;t get missions Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 5 at 2018 3:23 PM 2018-12-05T15:23:52-05:00 2018-12-05T15:23:52-05:00 SFC(P) Private RallyPoint Member 4185064 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>What about a Military Transition Team? National Guard for 7 years, 2nd deployment in 4 years (and a mobilization in between).
