how can I deploy out of Europe?

I’m trying to deploy when I get back from leave how would I go about deploying outside of Europe and outside of my unit?

You don't deploy, your unit deploys. If you want to deploy you go to a unit that's deploying.

I the regular army you have almost zero ability to influence if you deploy or not.

You’ll have to wait for your current unit to deploy, as you’ll deploy together. I’d ask your CoC how often they deploy and that may give you an idea of what is possibly to come.
