If you need more time ask your foot doc to make adjustments to your profile. If you print your profile off of AKO, it will list your conditions on the left, a combined PULHES score in the middle (which should be all 1’s for temp profile) and somewhere to the right I think it will tell you the profile expiration date. It may be below the conditions I don’t have a profile in front of me right now. Anyway, there is a section off to the right that says “is soldier available to take an APFT?” It will be marked yes or no. If it says no then right below that there will be an anticipated APFT availability date. That is basically your recovery time. Anything else you wanna know about it let me know. It’s literally what I deal with all day. If you need more time you need to talk to your PCM and get it lengthened. Irrespective of regulations everyone heals at a different speed and their are many waivers for this type of issue. Nevertheless, you need to return to full duty as soon as you can do so whithout injuring yourself. I believe that your actual surgeon can adjust your PT test schedule to allow time for you to recover and return to optimal health. If you have any problems with command. your actual surgeon should interact with them rather than you doing so. The Medical Corps has more juice than most people realize. Determining the length of your profile is up to your Physicians and Physican Assistant. It doesn’t matter how long you would like, what a civilian doctor wants or even what REGs list as potential guidelines. This is the lane of the Med Officers (MD PAs) to put the whole picture together and determine. Provide whatever specialist notes you may have, bebhonest and open about your pain level and symptoms and meet with your Battalion PA Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 10 at 2018 4:18 PM 2018-02-10T16:18:30-05:00 2018-02-10T16:18:30-05:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 3342213

that's up to your doctor Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 10 at 2018 7:52 PM 2018-02-10T19:52:16-05:00 2018-02-10T19:52:16-05:00 MSG Private RallyPoint Member 3342826

No more than 90 days for a P2. P3 - MEB.

AR 40-501 does not know your specifics. But generally it is 3Xs you profile length. No P2 should be more than 30 day so 90 days max recovery.

But it should be written in the profile. But recovery time is also individual. It might take you longer, depending on the injury or illness. See your provider or medic if issues arise.
The question should be how can I safely recover within my profile and still complete my duties.

Also, if you are still in need of recovery time, and you are truly still not recovered do not take an APFT.
