But, if you are really wanting to know, just call your Squad Leader back at your unit and ask. But, chances are, even if they deploy while you are still at AIT, you have a really good chance of staying behind in what is known as Rear Detachment. That is, unless your unit really needs you once you complete training. What I ended up doing was messaging my sponsor and asking them myself. They were deploying when I was just first getting to the unit so I ended up staying back and we became a Rear Detachment. Place during training to answer the million questions that would come to mind with this information. Your local NCOs will not know and your unit will be distracted. Focus on your current status, that is how you get ready. Once at the unit you will be in the right lace at the right time with all required resources. Focus.
