1, OPSEC says no way. 2. Army Times will probably publish the next rotation. 3. Your unit will know approx. 6mo to 1 yr out.

PVT (Join to see) , in all honesty just focus on your training at AIT. But, if you are really wanting to know, just call your Squad Leader back at your unit and ask. But, chances are, even if they deploy while you are still at AIT, you have a really good chance of staying behind in what is known as Rear Detachment. That is, unless your unit really needs you once you complete training.

I agree with MSG (Join to see) a lot of you new guys try to jump the gun. Which essentially isn’t bad but it could be if you focus to much on it. Focus on training so that you of good use to your unit when u do get there deploying or not.

How can I find out if my unit is deploying while I'm in AIT?

You do not have the support mechanism I. Place during training to answer the million questions that would come to mind with this information. Your local NCOs will not know and your unit will be distracted. Focus on your current status, that is how you get ready. Once at the unit you will be in the right lace at the right time with all required resources. Focus.

I was wondering the same thing. What I ended up doing was messaging my sponsor and asking them myself. They were deploying when I was just first getting to the unit so I ended up staying back and we became a Rear Detachment.

that's a hard one you really won't know till you get to your unit unless you get orders early
