Or anything that has to do with working with outside organizations to raise money? How can I get an authorized sponsor to raise money for the BOSS program? 2021-08-12T16:36:32-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 7178150

What does the Army fundraising regulations say about getting new sponsorship for the post? However, if you are going to solicit Soldiers for money, or solicit on post, you'll need a legal review.

If you're going to solicit sponsors they will expect some type of advertising in return. A good example is BOSS sets up a 5K run, possibly a fundraiser, you solicit sponsors, the entry fee for the run includes a Tee shirt with the logos of all your sponsors on it. The sponsors get cred and a taxable deduction, your organization gets money and recognition. It's a win win for everyone. I have raised funds for an unofficial unit fund. Must units usually have a "Battalion Activity Fund." You can raise money internally. The boss program is usually at a higher level and is already funded. You can't have a private company sponsor a unit. I have see this go badly when there was an investigation. Are you trying to plan an event for a unit level BOSS event?
