Normally there is a delay in the sending of information. Call again to the VA to verify the information and have them submit a request for you. This can move your paperwork forward thus getting you payment in two weeks. I tend to lean in the direction of the DAV. All these organizations seek to aid soldiers and are excellent sources to point you in the correct direction should they not be able to help you directly.
