How can I get help appealing the BCNR on a decision they made I feel was not justified?

I was done wrong by a Commander and a 1stSgt in Europe caused my career to end sooner than I wanted. I was forced to retire. I never received any help from the Enlisted side. I received more support from the Officers side and received a letters requesting consideration in my case from a Colonel and a CWO4 showing the Commanders disservice. I just want what was already earned and was stolen from me by a bad Commander. I should've brought charges up on the Commander but had no support or guidance. Looking for any Legal Advice or assistance.

If you’re looking for legal advice, I’d highly recommend you speak with an attorney.

But even the barracks lawyers here on the Point won’t be able to advise you, as you haven’t provided nearly enough details. Also, I don’t know if you would have had any authority to bring your commander up on any charges, even with support or guidance.

However, I’d recommend providing more details if you’d like unofficial advice, and I’d strongly recommend speaking to an attorney if you want real advice.

As others here answered already, I, similarly, obviously can't offer you any help about your specific questions here, I know nothing about such things at all...however, I was interested when you said you'd retired...I realize that, typically, once one militarily retires, ordinarily, one can't seek to serve any longer at all, I've seen considerable material about that...however, I'd seen you were listed as being a fixed wing aircraft transport specialist, certainly a highly technical and I'd think quite valuable skill set...so, I was merely wondering...have you ever considered, though I realize you're of course devoted to USMC, trying for another SVC in an analogous career field? Obviously, I have no idea if, having gotten your retirement, whether you could seek to serve in a different service, I !merely had wondered if the idea had at least !merely occurred to you to ask about at all? After all, I'm sure Army, USAF, or USCG could certainly possibly use your training, maybe with realignment, training for different aircraft, however, I merely offer it as a thought, honest...then, too, if you might perhaps elaborate on educational stuff, associates, bachelors, any grad-level coursework, outside work since you'd retired, whether you'd stayed in aviation at all, also, whether you'd ever gotten FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) licensure, that also struck me as relevant, certainly, you know? For example have you gone back for any further aviation related training of any kind, on any airframe(s)? Any pilot training, even if only FAA sport pilot, private pilot, instrument rating, multiengine, commercial at all? Have you been involved industrially in aviation, such that, if you were to seek to be boarded for trying for another svx, at any level, in aviation, that your outside exposure oost-retirement might help? Then, too, have you considered Army technical warrant, I'd seen an Army MOS 151A for At!y technical warrant in aviation maintenance, I don't know what the analogous AFSCs would be for USAF, or the rates for USCG, however, I'd just wondered, honest...then, also, have you explored trying to civil service with one of the services, whether USMC or any other svc at all? I know also that the NOAA Corps has its own aviation fleet, fixed and rotary wing, as well, I know nothing about their civil service career fields who work with their active duty personnel...and, have you had any rotary wing aircraft exposure of any kind as well? Would aero engineering interest you at all? Possibly NASA civil service? Or any other aviation related Federal civil service, maybe associated with the military...as I'd said, I completely understand that such things might not interest you, I think, hopefully, that I can perceive why, I'm merely asking ifmyoud considered such alternatives, if only to just ask about...obviously, I know nothing aboutnyour retirement circumstances, nor is it my place to ask, I !merely thought to suggest such things, though, as I'd said, I have no idea if going back into another svc, requesting an exception to do so, would even be possible, just procedurally, apart from your own individual circumstances and/or preferences...honestly, that's as far as my reasoning takes me, however, of certainly be most interested in whether you've ever given such notions any thought, or if you might possibly think them as having any potential merit, or at all worth exploring, purely as other options, honest, I hope that was at least of some possible use and/or interest, if it's not, I of course completely understand, certainly, I hope that was of at least some help, so far as I might've suggested anything of any possible use, many thanks....

I also thought to add, had you ever considered possibly Natl Guard, whether ARNG or ANG, or maybe one of the Reserves in another svc at all? Then, too, I'd known of the various state defense forces (SDFs), that support the ARNG and ANG, I don't know if where you are has one, or if you'd be able to do anything to contribute in your field, however, I do know that many active duty retirees where we are go into the SDF by us...I'd have loved to do it, I just can't, as I'm total perm disabled, I'm trying to volunteer with Army Volunteer Corps (AVC), I've looked at USCG Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol (CAP), Naval Sea Cadets for tutoring and/or helping with STEM training, JROTCs, or volunteering to try to assist with clinical research at a VA hospital by us, as I'd been clinical before my disability, we shut my doctoral level allied health license of sevl urs ago, the nrules are just Draconian strictz so I haven't had any luck yet, tough I've asked...I only suggest those things as USCG Aux, for example, often let's qualified auxiliarists who go through the USCG Aux training assist in sevl operational areas, I !merely offer that as a tyoughtz I have no idea if aviation exposure of your type could be so allowed, I !merely suggest it, look up the link below for SGAUS, the main body dealing with the SDFs, I've looked into them quite seriously, they're real militaries, even though state adjuncts helping the ARNG and ANG, I !merely thought to suggest that possible avenue as well, honest, for whatever it might he worth, I'd be once again most eager to hear any thoughts you might have, whenever convenient, many thanks....

You feel that it was not justified? Yet did it get reviewed by JAG? Forced to retire- so it went up the CoC to your Branch or equivalent, and you didn't dispute it? I don't know about USMC, but in the Army to would have been reviewed by at least 3 levels of command.

What type of separation or basis for retirement?
