I've contacted my previous PSG and 1SG, both of which seem to be ignoring me completely. It's been 7 months since it was submitted, and the last I heard from them, it was repeatedly sent back for revisions, more than 4 times. What can I do, if anything, to tactfully nudge them in the direction of helping me out?How can I get my last unit to send me my PCS award that they never gave/sent me?2018-07-23T19:27:12-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member3819186

Last unit won't return my emails or messages in regards to my PCS award that I never received before leaving. If not, maybe try and get someone in your current COC to contact them.

If those two things don't work, drive on. I was at one command where they didn't even know I had orders even though I informed them in the whole process. I was a lowly E3 at the time and one of many. I didn't get so much as a card. I left and no one cared. It soured my first year in the Navy.

I went on and got more recognition later in my career and grew to actually like being in the Navy.

Some commands are better at supporting the troops than others. I found a DOA memo on Facebook for a unit award I qualified for posted by someone in my old unit. I gave a copy to my new unit and they gave me the medal and ceremony. It is always nice to have at least 1 friend in the S1 shop, usually a lower enlisted or of similar rank to do some light legwork for you when you need a favor.Response by SPC Casey Ashfield made Jul 24 at 2018 10:48 AM2018-07-24T10:48:43-04:002018-07-24T10:48:43-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member3828949

If I am correct, Fort Riley post clearing papers have a signature spot for PCS awards.
