You maybe able to hitch a ride with them on jump on what they are doing to help.Response by PO2 Arthur Delsing made Aug 31 at 2017 12:32 AM2017-08-31T00:32:10-04:002017-08-31T00:32:10-04:00LT John Chang2880988<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>When Katrina went down, the Red Cross offered training to prepare folks. (Nothing worse than headless chickens in a disaster area.) It was basic stuff, but still gave you the basics on what to expect and how to respond.<br /><br />Often, you can help out at home. Just giving blood helps out, or helping to prepare supplies.<br />Contact a local Red Cross center and see what they say.Response by LT John Chang made Aug 31 at 2017 3:56 AM2017-08-31T03:56:27-04:002017-08-31T03:56:27-04:00LT Brad McInnis2881710<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I just got back from the George R. Brown Convention center (10k evacuees). There is plenty of food, clothes and blankets. The one thing that is going to be running low is blood. Our Blood Bank is getting no donations from the area, because all the donors are either evacuated or working to clean up. They are getting blood from other centers around the US.Response by LT Brad McInnis made Aug 31 at 2017 11:21 AM2017-08-31T11:21:50-04:002017-08-31T11:21:50-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member2881779<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Check if you state plans to send people to helpResponse by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 31 at 2017 11:51 AM2017-08-31T11:51:23-04:002017-08-31T11:51:23-04:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member2882171<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don't know man, but this has been my favorite Discussion so far. If you're a veteran there are plenty of crews coming here from all parts of the nation to help with the rebuilding of the lower parts of Texas. <br /><br />Thank you in your interest to help. We in Houston appreciate your offer to come down. You well be treated well and very much appreciated.Response by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 1 at 2017 11:54 AM2017-09-01T11:54:20-04:002017-09-01T11:54:20-04:002017-08-31T00:28:22-04:00
