How can I join US army if I'm Iranian and living in Iran?

I'd like to join US army. How can I join US army? what is the way, precise and clear way? I got confusing answers from searching. I thought this website may be helpful. I'll be happy to find out what I should do.

Private RallyPoint Member Below are the basic requirements:

For Enlisted Soldiers

To become an enlisted Soldier in the U.S. Army, you must:

Prove you are U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card (officially known as a Permanent Resident Card)
Be between 17-35 years old
Achieve a minimum score on the ASVAB test
Meet medical, moral, and physical requirements
Be a high school graduate or equivalent

For Officers

Becoming an Army Officer is different from enlisting as a Soldier. Officers are responsible for leading Soldiers and planning missions. Training and initial requirements for accepting a commission as an Officer vary, but generally, to qualify you must:

Be a college graduate by the time you are commissioned as an Officer
Be between 18 and 32 years old
Meet medical, moral, and physical requirements
Eligible for a secret security clearance

Also, to piggy back off of Sgt Private RallyPoint Member there are a couple red flags with Iran natives. 1) you are considered an adversary 2) your desire to join the US Army during an increase in tensions between the 2 nations.

You MUST have a form of legal residence within the US prior to application

If your not a legal resident of the U.S. your not an employee of the Government or a Vet How are you on the Site to Begin with? My understanding is you cannot be on this site if your not a government employee past or present. Or a active member of the US Military or a Vet.

The easiest ways to come here are to apply for work visa once covid 19 simmers down. Student or work visa are you're only too ways. You try to come here illegally and go to a recruiter you're bound to be deported back to Iran and be bad from entry back into the US for a certain amount of years.

You want to know whats great about The United States of America? I had two soldiers in my command who were both from Guatemala.

One of them was a former guerrilla fighter against the government. The other was a former Guatemala federal military officer. They literally were on opposing sides of an active war, and now serve together as US Soldiers in the same unit.

One of them is a Chief Warrant Officer (the same citizenship standards apply for him as a commissioned officer). It took him decades of his life to get there from where he started in life.

If you are serious about this, and have intentions that are consistent with the terms of service in the US Armed Forces, I recommend that you immigrate to the US. DO THIS LEGALLY, OBEY THE IMMIGRATION LAWS! The United States welcomes any and all who obey the laws regarding entry into this country.

Once you have done that, I recommend getting some kind of employment. Or you could go to a school, if your financial situation permits. Obtain your documentation for doing so (Visa, Green Card, etc.). You can also apply for citizenship in the United States.

Once you have obtained the correct documents (again, Visa, Green Card, etc.) you should find a Recruiting Office for the Armed Forces of your preference; you have indicated the US Army.

I will extend you the benefit of the doubt, and presume that you have good intentions.

Having read thru this chain of responses, I will keep this short. You need to be a legal resident WITHIN the United States. Until that happens, all other follow on questions are moot.

Not all legal immigrants are eligible to enlist. Applicants who have been residents of countries considered hostile to the interests of the United States require a waiver. See your local recruiter for the most current list of countries considered hostile to the interests of the United States. Typically, Russia, Iran, North Korea, China are the leading countries on the list, but there are others as well.

While non-citizens may enlist, they will find their job choices extremely limited. DOD policy prohibits granting security clearances to non-U.S. Citizens. Therefore, non-Citizens. who enlist in the United States military will be limited to those jobs which do not require a security clearance.
