How can I obtain old orders from active National Guard duties where my unit may not have them?

One of my very first SGT gave me advice early in my military career..."Make sure you keep copies of all your paperwork, small or large..." and of course I heard it but I did not keep copies

First place I’d check is IPERMS and if not there I’d give my old unit a call.

You should be able to visit any armory and have them do an order search on your ssn. If that doesn’t work contact Latham and they should be able to get them for you.

Have you tried your IPERMS. You can access it even if you don’t currently have a CAC. Google officer or enlisted record dslgon. If you don’t have DS account you’ll have to set one up. Your entire service record should be there
