If you’ve done everything possible devoid moving to whole other state to get the job you want you will have to wait for a slot to open up for that MOS. Best of luck. If you find a unit where that wouldn&#39;t be you inconvenient, go for it. There&#39;s also IMA units, which group their IDT together so you&#39;re only travelling a few times a year. The other iron is WIAS which are similar to IMA and because they&#39;re relatively new they need personnel. <br />When a slot opens up locally, you&#39;ll already be trained, you can transfer back. 2LT Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 14 Mar 2019 07:33:40 -0400 2019-03-14T07:33:40-04:00 Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 14 at 2019 7:57 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-can-i-reclass-to-a-68j?n=4447606&urlhash=4447606 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>68 J is an over strength mos . I wouldn’t recommend it. I am one now currently it’s hard to progress for one and two there aren’t many options for reenlistment SPC Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 14 Mar 2019 07:57:59 -0400 2019-03-14T07:57:59-04:00 Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 14 at 2019 11:51 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-can-i-reclass-to-a-68j?n=4448227&urlhash=4448227 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would consider other MOSs right now since as time goes on AMEDD will downsizing the number of MOSs in the medical CMFs. 68J will be one of them. 68W is getting a lot of these guys so I’d look into that SGT Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 14 Mar 2019 11:51:29 -0400 2019-03-14T11:51:29-04:00 Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 14 at 2019 9:24 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-can-i-reclass-to-a-68j?n=4449663&urlhash=4449663 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Why not reclass to be a 92Y (Unit Supply) instead of 68J? You&#39;ll probably have a much easier time finding an available slot as a 92Y vs. being a 68J. I’m a j now and primor potential doesn’t go past 6 or 7. The MOS is so full they were for a while forcing reclass to active duty and started for reservists. Honestly I would recommend 68a it’s a long school but in the civilian side it’s very lucrative. The 68J will become an ASI. There is no reason to even attempt to reclass as a J SSG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 05 Apr 2019 05:28:02 -0400 2019-04-05T05:28:02-04:00 2019-03-14T06:37:29-04:00
