I am looking to get out of active duty but want to transition to the Reserves and commission. I am in the healthcare field now, so I’m familiar with the job but I was wondering if anyone can help me out or has gone through a similar process. TIA! How can I transition from active duty enlisted to the Reserves and pursue a commission? 2020-05-23T14:08:43-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 5926684

Active duty soldier here. Initials, nick names, aliases, joint accounts, email addresses are not allowed. Please update your account to conform to RP terms of service.

Medical has a direct commission route if you meet the criteria. They can fill you in on all of the details regarding the likelihood and the process. Go to Grad School and take ROTC,. Apply for OCS. It is possible to get a direct Commission in the medical service Corps but usually it's for people who have shortage clinical Specialties although it's not impossible to get such a commission for admin. Talk to an AMEDD recruiter you can go online to find out the location of the nearest one Good luck. It was handled by the Army prior to my ets. I went back to school, and later enrolled in ROTC when I became a first quarter junior. That’s how I received my commission.
