How can I verify how many promotion points an ALMS course is worth?

I heard that this course is worth points as it is 65.5hrs, how can I verify it is worth points before I invest so many hours?

To my knowledge only resident courses of 40 hours or more are worth promotion points, but I could be mistaken.

To be sure I would see if there is any guidance in AR 600-8-19 pertaining to what type of courses equate to promotion points.

Actually I stand corrected. According to AR 600-8-19, Chapter 3-18 c (1), it looks like computer based, non-resident training courses CAN be worth promotion points. Chapter 3-18 is pretty extensive, so I recommend reading all of it just to be sure. It looks like there are conditions attached to how many points in total can be earned.
