Too Funny! I love this part as well...
...Lockheed officials have separately downplayed reports that the same F-35, flown by the same pilot, previously lost mock dogfights with the Goodyear Blimp and a beagle on a flying doghouse.

In actuality, I bet a wood-and-cloth WW1 airplane, with almost no metal to lock onto, a pathetic heat signature (compared to a jet) and flying well below a jet's stall speed would probably be able to evade a modern jet, especially at treetop level.

On the flipside, the only way the WW1 pilot would have a chance and doing any damage to the jet was if the jet pilot obligingly flew right into the straight line of his guns, so it'd probably end up being a draw...
