How can my company find veterans to hire?

The company I work for in Metro Detroit is having trouble finding and keeping quality people. I want to suggest they hire veterans( of course). Are there any organazations that help employers and veterans find each other?

Steve there are many places but of course you know our group Rally point, there is also HireVets, Facebook groups. These are just a few that I have used. Wish you luck in hiring the best. Hire A Vet Today.

If you hire through a staffing agency, let them know that you have a Veteran's preference. I've had some decent response with that.

Go to your local state unemployment office get an appointment with the Vet. Rep. He should have the resources to help out. Good luck with that hope it works out for you your boss and the vets.

Look for a LVER (Local Veterans Employment Representative) at your state's department of labor. The service should be free and they should already have a good network of veterans looking for work.

I am DVOP here in the State of Maryland and I am an integral part of the AJC (American Job Center) which is also referred to as One Stop Employment centers and here I have several options for Veterans to develop there skills set as well as find employment. There is always quality workers at the Workforce center who are determined and motivated to serve as a part of great company. HIRE VETS!!!!!

SGT Steve Oakes , My suggestion is to contact the local VA and see if you can speak with a social worker and or ask to post on their bulletin board. Secondarily, you might contact the state employment office and speak with a Veterans representative who may be able to add your company to the Veterans recruitment list. Another way would be to contact the local VFW, DAV, American Legion, etc and ask them to post.

I don't know your VA or your state, so what I suggest may be of little use, or it may be great.
