CSM Michael Lynch 415845

It was announced that the VA has reduced Bonuses to 360 million this year, after all of the great work they have done this past year for our vets, that is still coming out of the dark corners and woodwork. I believe congress and the VA should wake up and put that money into fixing the system to take care of veterans than taking care of their employees who took such great care of our veterans this past year(lots of sarcasm here).

This is another example of their thoughts on fixing the claim side by incentivizing the process and the team that gets the most claims processed denied or approved. Can we guess how much the denials will go up with this incentive, if you are going to offer them bonuses than why not tie accuracy to it before it is denied or approved and reaches the veterans hands for us to find out it is inaccurate.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/jan/12/va-puts-veterans-at-risk-by-providing-incentive-to/

What are your thoughts on this issue.

VA puts veterans at risk by providing incentive to rush claims, critics say

The Philadelphia VA announced a new incentive program earlier this month that rewards employees with cash and food for deciding cases quickly — a move that some employees say will encourage staff to rush claims and reject deserving applicants, once again leaving veterans struggling for benefits.

How can the VA being offering Bonuses to their employees? 2015-01-13T13:59:42-05:00 CSM Michael Lynch 415845

It was announced that the VA has reduced Bonuses to 360 million this year, after all of the great work they have done this past year for our vets, that is still coming out of the dark corners and woodwork.
