How can we help Women Veterans gain employment or entrepreneurship?

Women Veterans are at a higher unemployment statistics then their male counterpart and even higher than non-veteran women.

If you were afforded an opportunity to attend training what topics would you think benefit you most?

What training format would you prefer? (ex. seminar, conference, small class room, multi-day, weekly)

I am putting together an event to help women veterans over come barriers and to provide them some tools they can put in their toolbox.

If you had a budget of $20,000, how would you use it?

While women veterans are a smaller percentage than male veterans in the overall picture, I have heard that they also are higher on the unemployment rate, this is somewhat confusing to me.

I am wondering if it has to do with the lack of support or if many are not willing to seek the same help and available resources that the male counterparts are receiving, or that the men are not utilizing as well. Is it something along those lines or something else, I would be curious to a female response for this issue.

From my perspective I would think being unemployed a multi-day class would help move the process along faster to getting you back to the workforce along with other resources for assistance (ie resume building, transition counseling, transferable skills convergence. etc.).
