I would have favorable recommendations from both my BC and CDR, two LORs from a LTC and MAJ, most qualified on all past NCOERs, commandants list in SLC, and I have served in both PSG and squad leader positions for the past three years.
From my research it seems the GPA is heavily weighted for the selection process and I just want to know if I should consider continuing with my packet or raise my GPA and submit for the next board? How competitive should I be for Green to Gold ADO? 2019-10-13T06:09:56-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 5121034

Im in the process of putting together a G2G ADO packet but I was wondering if a 3.5 GPA and 288 APFT score is competitive enough? Everyone has favorable recommendations - they're either favorable or glowing. Your recommendations come from a pretty average level, as opposed to coming from an O6 or O7. Everyone should have high GPA and APFT scores. Below 300 APFT and below 3.75 GPA are probably pretty average.

So, what's left? NCOER ratings, duty assignments, additional accomplishments, and extra curricular activities. Your duty position had you in an E7 spot, working ahead of your grade and you were rated ahead of your peers for that so that sets you apart. Those show that you can ACTUALLY do the job as opposed to simply having the potential to do the job. The GPA part is for determining if you'll actually succeed at your G2G college portion. If you were going for a graduate degree, that might cause some concerns about your ability to finish school. But for an undergrad, that's a very successful GPA. If you don’t make it, submit it again. 3.5 GPA is pretty good but you can always improve simultaneously while submitting for the board. If you still haven’t been selected for G2G by the time you get your Bachelor’s degree, or get close to getting it, submit an OCS packet. The average acceptant the last couple of years has a 280 PT, 3.3 GPA, and 118 GT. I’m submitting mine this year and my recruiter told me that the board mainly cares about our GPA. If you want a PDF file in regards to these statistics, my recruiter sent me a slideshow with the last 10 years of numbers for acceptants.
