Leadership skills are useful regardless of your career area. Logistics also taught me the value of planning.

Besides the basic soft skills (organizational, decisiveness, initiative) and the basic leadership skills, I was blessed with the engineering and systems/process knowledge that I have been able to apply to multiple industries.
