How do businesses that advertise on RallyPoint impact you?

For many years there have been banners on RallyPoint which include businesses including USAA as well as companies 'looking' for you."
I expect that most are aware of these and wonder how these advertisements influence us.

I harken to days of old in regard to the internet. I am of the fortunate generation who's personal details prior to my 20's will forever be lost to history. Clicking on anything is akin to Russian Roulette.
