Ashley Nicole 5394156 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have a DWI on my record that I did get taken care of back in 2014. I did get a waiver for it. My question is how will it affect me in the future MOS wise? Does it disqualify me from certain jobs with certain security clearances or does having a waiver help with that? How do convictions and a criminal history impact my ability to pursue certain jobs and security clearances? 2019-12-30T10:13:56-05:00 Ashley Nicole 5394156 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have a DWI on my record that I did get taken care of back in 2014. When getting a security clearance, they take the whole person approach. Yes, you got a DWI but what were the mitigating circumstances AND what have you done to prevent future occurrences. I haven&#39;t heard of anyone entering being disqualified from certain jobs (that doesn&#39;t mean that it doesn&#39;t/can&#39;t happen). It depends on why you do to make sure this won&#39;t continue to be a problem. It will definitely be an impediment if you attempt to commission in the future as well.
